You speak the truth in regards to Just. Korn have some amazing basslines though. When I saw them just over a year ago their bassist Fieldy was right infront of me, and I was mesmerized by his intricate playing. It's difficult to describe though. Like, he slaps on a five-string but it's very different. But I can't think of a specific example.
Although Green Day do too. Even though they are pretty simplistic they still pretty catchy especially the ones on the Insomniac album _________________ I HAD THIS PREDICTED I WROTE THE SCRIPT THIS IS NOT HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO END!!!
Fieldy is frickin' ace. I remember watching the freak on a leash video as a kid and being transfixed by the slappage.
Never really thought of Greenday as a bass-heavy band but come to think of it they do break down to some catchy bass riffs now and again! _________________ I'm on a boat!
yeah it was Freak On A Leash that got me hooked onto Korn..still havent seen them live
yeah they do...although sometimes you have to listen hard for it _________________ I HAD THIS PREDICTED I WROTE THE SCRIPT THIS IS NOT HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO END!!!

You really should. I've seen them twice [/gloat]. But no, they're playing Download, so I guess there's a small chance of them one or two smaller gigs too.
I don't think Fieldy can be human, to be honest. He does this thing where just swaps his hands around in some kind of weird, smooth formation...I can't describe it, it's something that needs to be watched. But dayumn, I cannae find anything on YouTube.
its well weird how he plays, but now i know which strings to buy cuz the ones i buy never seem to stay 'bright'
quite funny, the way he saw flea playing bass is one of the reasons why i wanted to play bass instead of guitar. _________________ Is the best frickin' captain of the boat!!
around the world bi chillis orrrr run to the hills by maiden i know theres a better steve harris bassline but cant rmember oh an dont forget my generation by the who
Most Red Hot Chilli Peppers songs have some amazing bass lines. Californication, Around The World, but probably the best has to be Mellowship Slinky In B Minor. It's such a funky bass line, and such good fun to play.
My all time favourite bassist has to be Tye Zamora of Alien Ant Farm though. He never fails to add some groove to some really rocky tunes. He's just awesome.
Fieldy and Mike Dirnt are also good bassists, especially Fieldy who plays a 5-string like I've never seen before. _________________ Now, I Am Going So Fast I'm Losing All Of My Pride.
Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden is one of my most favored, in fact Iron Maiden just have a great bassist
some of the stuff by the Offspring has alot of really cool bass! _________________ This is the End of the Beginning
Tuesday's Gone ny Lynyrd Skynyrd has a prity awesome Bassline too!
Reel Big Fish's old Bassist is damn awesome too...Matt Wong I beleive his name was...he rocked and he had not just awesome bass guitar licks, but he had a bassy voice which was awesome too...and Muse have alot of great basslines...Muscle Museum is a gr8 example! ^_^ _________________ This is the End of the Beginning
For me my fave basslines are probably from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, leared Can't Stop yesterday it was fun to play and was pretty cool to jam along to the video lol.
Maybe you should put up some of the basslines for your songs up here
